Solo Audition Update, VERY IMPORTANT!!!

Hey everyone,

       As you may know there are three solo's for 'Part of Me'. The first line: "Days like this I want to drive away..." The Second line: "I just want to through my phone away..." snd the third and final solo: "Now look at me I'm sparkling, a firework of dancing flames..." If you are interested in one of these three, please record yourself singing the part that you want. If you would like to audition for two or all three that is fine, but then I need you to send me all in an e-mail along with your name. I would like them before next wednesday please.

       Now for those of you not trying out. I will send three consecutive e-mails, the subject title will be which solo for example the first solo: "Days like this..." will be titled 'Solo 1', and so on for all three. I will send everyone the recording clips to vote on. There will be three votes. One vote for each solo. I will not be giving the names of the soloists, this way it is as fair as can be, instead each will have a number as for example, 'Soloist 1', 'Soloist 2', and so on through all who audition. When you write me back you will give me the soloist number for example you will write back to me,

'Soloist 1'

'Soloist 3'

'Soloist 6'

Song Submission

Well, we just got our first song submission. Keep looking and thinking you guys. When you have an idea you can either wait till the next meeting or e-mail us at suffolkacapella@gmail.com. Thanks everyone and see you wednesday. :)

Activities Day

         Sept. 5th is activities day at suffolk. All the clubs will have a table set up where you can get free stuff, get info about the clubs, and more. Suffolk Acapella will also have a table set up, we are going to have some free stuff as well. We will even be having a raffle. The prize is a secret till you get there though. You can bet a part of it will be music related, but deffinetly something everyone would like. So if we have peeked your curiosity than come on out and find out just what it is, plus all the other good stuff we might have. If it is nice out the activities will take place in the court yard outside the Babylon Student Center. Hope to see you there.

Fall 2012 Update (First Meeting)

Hey Everyone,

       So we had our first meeting today. It was kind of short but, sweet and to the point. For those of you who came you got the rundown on what is going to be happening and some of our ideas. Remember to pick out a song to sing a part of this Wednesday, September 5th. THIS IS NOT A TRY OUT, so don't panic. This is only a voice placement "survey" for lack of a better word. It is only to place you in the appropriate section for what works with your voice and range. EVERYONE and ANYONE can join. We have two songs picked out already and the third you guys are going to pick out. To submit a song go to www.onlinesheetmusic.com and make sure that it has two music symbols next to it. I will include a picture at the bottom. Be in mind you do NOT have to buy the music your self, the club will buy the music. You just need to check for a song you would want to sing/perform. The next meeting will be at Suffolk Community College (of course) in the Islip Arts Building in room 208. See you then!!
